在途中，我们停下來吃午饭休息。有一位女帮工过来和我们聊天，她介绍自己是一个寡妇，问我们是否指定幫助特定群体的人，我们說：“我们希望能幫助所有人”，然后也送给她一些物资，她很感激地收下，还告诉我们有一位住在附近的寡妇很需要帮忙，尽管当时我们行程紧凑，可还是决定先去送上物资和认识这位寡妇。

當我们到达时，一位大概五十多岁瘦小的女人用手臂拖著她的身体，高兴地在门口迎接我们。在简短的探访中，她分享了她的故事，六年前；她某天醒来不能行动，意识到下肢全部捲曲起來。直到今天，她都忍受著痛苦和孤独奋斗的过日子。这几天她都没吃饱，家里大米也没了。然而，她非常高兴我们的探访，难过的告诉我们在Raya期间，沒有一个人來探望她。

当道别时，她握着我的手，一一感谢我们所有的人。现在我脑海里仍然一直响起她的乞求 “我唯一的愿望，希望能再走动…”

I was heading out to Sertik with a group of volunteers to do some home visits. We hand out donated goods to families in need and take the opportunity to listen to each of their story.

On the way there, we stopped by a warung for lunch break. The helper there came over and had a chat with us. She introduced herself as a widow and asked if we only help specific groups of people, with that we replied, “We help all”. We gave her some goods and she received them gratefully. She then told us about another widow who lives not far away who urgently needs help. Despite already being behind schedule, we decided to meet this woman.

When we arrived, a woman of a small sized frame in her 50s, handicapped, dragging her body with her arms, cheerfully greeted us at the door. During the brief meeting, she shared her story. Six years ago, she woke up, not being able to move, realizing that her bottom limbs were all curled up. Till today, she bears the pain and struggles through her daily life, alone. She hadn’t eaten much for the past few days as she finished her supply of rice. However, she was delighted to have us over, admitting sadly that throughout the whole raya period, not a soul came to visit her.

As we said our goodbyes, she held my hand and thanked all of us. It still rings in my head when she mentioned, almost begging, “I only have one wish and it is to walk again. Please…”
