Tonight will be our last night at Dataran. Pak Samad, unfortunately is away in Penang to attend a memorial service for the late Karpal Singh. Although he can’t be with us in person, his presence will still be felt in spirit and in the beautiful words that he has so kindly penned down for us.

To all green comrades, hope you can all join us tonight, 9pm – 12am, to usher in the 1st anniversary of 505. Although it’s a heartbreaking day for the majority of Malaysians but it also marks a significant step forward towards victory for the people.

See you tonite. Salam Hijau!

尽管人在槟城出席已故卡巴星的追思会，但国家文学家A. Samad Said依然心繋佔领独立广场的斗士们。
远在北方的他，今天特别传来这段文字，寄语这些天在广场上风雨同路的大家。是的，真诚的斗争不曾停止过，我们竭尽全力迈向目的地！
让我们今夜在独立广场一起迎接505一周年！
