Back in February, the Director of Pejaba…

Back in February, the Director of Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Bentong (PKDB) came to see me to seek some financial assistance to set-up five COVID-19 screening booths in government clinics in Bentong. I could sense the urgency and have allocated RM50k from my MP allocation to help them. Unfortunately, with the sudden change of government, I could no longer fulfill that pledge.

When my staff told me yesterday that PKDB has requested for Clorox, which is something that costs merely a few hundred ringgit, I immediately knew they are facing dire resource and financial constraints. Due to limited resources, our people, especially the frontliners are exposed to unnecessary higher risks out there. I hope the federal government will look into this matter urgently.

My office has immediately arranged for the delivery of sixty liters of Clorox to PKDB today.

We do what we can.
