Atas sokongan hangat drpd msayarakat, Himpunan Hijau berjaya mengutip derma sebanyak RM24000 dalam masa tiga jam, untuk membayar denda bagi kes 622 shutdown Lynas.

Dengan ini, Pengerusi Wong Tack mengumumkan penamatan kempen derma ini, sekali lagi kami merakamkan Terima Kasih yang tidak terhingga kepada rakyat Malaysia!

Baki derma akan diguna sebagai dana aktiviti Himpunan Hijau.

Kempen anti-Lynas tidak akan berhenti sebegitu sahaja, kami akan berbincang dengan pasukan peguam tentang pengemukaan rayuan kes ini.

Kenyataan pengerusi Himpunan Hijau Wong Tack pada 14 Dis 2017 mengenai iklan Lynas di akhbar The Star.

Pengerusi Himpunan Hijau Wong Tack mengutuk iklan Lynas Corporation Ltd sebanyak tiga setengah muka surat di akhbar The Star yang menyifatkan nadir bumi sebagai hadiah semulajadi, kerana ini membawa agenda untuk mengelirukan orang awam tentang pengancaman kilang Lynas terhadap negara.

Wong berkata, kerajaan memutuskan bahawa Lynas perlu mengemukakan pelan dan lokasi Tapak Pelupusan Kekal (PDF) sebelum Lesen Operasi Tetap (POL) dikeluarkan. Namun begitu, tanpa mematuhi syarat penting ini, Lynas telah pun diluluskan lesen oleh Lembaga Pelesenan Tenaga Atom (AELB) meskipun terdapat bantahan keras daripada rakyat Malaysia.

Iklan di akhbar The Star cuma satu publisiti Lynas, ianya langsung tidak menjawap isu teras yang ditanya-tanya rakyat. Di samping itu, publisiti Lynas juga bercanggah dengan kenyataan Pengerusi MCA Liow Tiong Lai yang sebelum ini menegaskan bahawa sisa buangan harus dibawa keluar dari negara. Sekiranya tidak, lesen akan ditarik balik dengan segera.

Apa yang dilihat sekarang, Lynas gagal mengemukakan lokasi Tapak Pelupusan Kekal, tidak pernah mengumumkan kaedah pengurusan sisa buangan. Cara pengendalian sebegini memperolehi lesen operasi tetap, tidak diambil tindakan seperti yang dijamin Menteri, ini amat tidak munasabah.

Wong menyeru Lynas hentikan publisiti yang tidak berkenaan, serta mengumumkan kaedah pengurusan sisa buangan dan lokasi tapak pelupusan kekal. Sekiranya tidak, kerajaan harus batalkan lesen operasi tetap Lynas dengan serta merta.
