\n\u9ec4\u5fb7\uff0c\u4f5c\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u9886\u8896\u517c\u656c\u7231\u7684\u670b\u53cb\uff0c\u5728\u8fc7\u53bb\u51e0\u5e74\u91cc\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u770b\u5230\u4ed6\u4e0d\u65ad\u906d\u53d7\u6beb\u65e0\u6839\u636e\u548c\u6076\u610f\u4f24\u4eba\u7684\u5224\u65ad\u548c\u6307\u63a7\u3002<\/p>\n

\u51e0\u4e2a\u6708\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u9080\u8bf7\u4ed6\u524d\u6765\u52a9\u6211\u4eec\u4e00\u81c2\u4e4b\u529b\uff0c\u5c3d\u7ba1\u4ed6\u5fc3\u91cc\u662f\u767e\u822c\u4e0d\u613f\u610f\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u8fd8\u662f\u7b54\u5e94\u4e86\u3002\u9ec4\u5fb7\u7387\u9886\u4e0b\u7684\u7eff\u8272\u76db\u4f1a\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e8e2011\u5e7410\u67089\u65e5\u4e3e\u884c\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4eca\u5929\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u770b\u5230\u4ed6\u906d\u9047\u4e0d\u516c\u5e73\u7684\u653b\u51fb\u65f6\uff0c\u5fc3\u60c5\u662f\u75bc\u75db\u7684\u3002\u5355\u7eaf\u5730\u4e3a\u4e86\u6ee1\u8db3\u4e2a\u4eba\u81ea\u79c1\u7684\u8bae\u7a0b\uff0c\u800c\u5bf9\u522b\u4eba\u4f5c\u51fa\u9519\u8bef\u4e0e\u6b8b\u5fcd\u7684\u4f24\u5bb3\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u5b8c\u5168\u9519\u8bef\u7684\u505a\u6cd5\uff0c\u7279\u522b\u662f\u4f1a\u5bf9\u4ed6\u7684\u5b69\u5b50\u9020\u6210\u4f24\u5bb3\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u6bcf\u4e2a\u4eba\u90fd\u6709\u8d23\u4efb\u7aed\u5c3d\u6240\u80fd\u53bb\u5c65\u884c\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u8d23\u4efb\uff0c\u4ee5\u7ef4\u62a4\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5b69\u5b50\u548c\u56fd\u5bb6\u3002\u4e00\u5473\u7684\u8981\u6c42\u522b\u4eba\u6765\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u4f5c\u51fa\u6597\u4e89\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u4e0d\u8d1f\u8d23\u4efb\u548c\u4e0d\u5408\u7406\u7684\u8981\u6c42\u3002<\/p>\n

For the past few years, we have watched in silence as our leader, Wong Tack, who is also our dearest friend, being continuosly attacked with baseless and hurtful judgements as well as accusations.<\/p>\n

We can no longer remain silent and allow this verbal abuse against him to continue.<\/p>\n

We got to know Wong Tack on May 7th, 2011 when he was invited to Kuantan for a ceramah to share with us his experience in fighting environmental causes. At that time, he has just won a 5-year long campaign opposing a coal-fired power plant in Sabah. We can still remember that our movement didn’t have any funds then as it was at the infancy’s stage. And Wong Tack, without saying a single word, quietly paid his own way to Kuantan. His generosity is still being constantly observed until today.<\/p>\n

A few months later, we requested him to come over to help us. After much reluctance, he finally agreed. Wong Tack led the first Himpunan Hijau which was held on October 9th, 2011 in Kuantan.<\/p>\n

We once asked him why he was willing to fight Lynas since he’s not even from Kuantan. He told us he felt it is his moral duty to do so. And that when he campaigned against coal he received support from across the nation and world. He wanted to do the same for the people of Kuantan.<\/p>\n

He has kept his promise until today. He walked 300km, he endured a torturous 36-days at Dataran, sacrifices even both of us as leaders of this movement are sometimes unable to carry out.<\/p>\n

He was always the first to stand at the frontline, most of the time placing his freedom on the line.<\/p>\n

He taught us not only about appreciating and protecting the environment. He taught us about humanity, justice and our basic rights and responsibilities as citizens of this earth. He taught us about adding value and meaning in our lives.<\/p>\n

Today, we are totally heartbroken to see him being unjustly attacked. It is wrong and cruel to hurt someone, especially his children, just because some of us want to satisfy our own selfish agendas.<\/p>\n

Each of us is duty bound to carry out our responsibilities to the best we could to protect our children and country. It is irresponsible and unreasonable to demand someone else to fight for us.<\/p>\n
