I am sitting in the Lynas AGM with delegates from Save Malaysia Stop Lynas! In the opening statement by outgoing Chair, Nick Curtis he stated that Lynas “does have a social license in Malaysia”, Mr Curtis we know this is a blatant lie-nas. Hundreds and thousands of Malaysians oppose the Lynas rare earth refinery in Kuantan, Malaysia – the largest grassroots environment movement in Malaysian history. This movement is NOT politically motivated as Mr Cutis, the ‘Corporate Titan’, stated in his opening speech. I have bared witness to the many Malaysians opposed to Lynas, they are business people, mothers, fathers, retirees, students, and a diversity of professionals. <\/p>\n
