Our green comrade from Australia, Natalie Lowrey or ‘Nat’ as most of us fondly call her, has been arrested by the police during the ‘Shutdown Lynas’ campaign on Sunday, 22 June 2014 right at the doorstep of Lynas in Gebeng, Pahang.
\n\u3000
\nNatalie is currently being held in a lock up at Kuantan District Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n

Until now, the police has not been able to provide reasonable explanation beyond ‘still investigating’ on why she is still being detained. It is also heartbreaking for us to know that the condition of the lockup is extremely harsh, having to share with more than 20 inmates and with no access to even basic necessities like clean drinking water, bed, towels, etc.<\/p>\n

We therefore appeal that the police immediately release her, drop all charges against her and allow her to return to Australia safely.<\/p>\n

Be there, at 9-10pm tonight, outside the Kuantan District Police Headquarters, in solidarity to appeal for the immediate release of Natalie Lowrey!<\/p>\n

**Natalie has been an environmental campaigner for the past 16 years and she has been actively involved in the Stop Lynas Incorporation (SLI) in Australia for the past 3 years. She was present in Gebeng, Kuantan on behalf of the SLI to lend solidarity and support to the local community and people of Kuantan.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u81ea\u6fb3\u6d32\u7684\u7eff\u8272\u6218\u53cb\u2500Natalie Lowrey\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u662f\u201cNat\u201d\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u5927\u591a\u6570\u4eba\u5bf9\u5979\u7684\u4eb2\u5207\u79f0\u547c\u3002\u81ea\u4ece\u4e8e2014\u5e746\u670822\u65e5\uff08\u5468\u65e5\uff09\u5728\u683c\u5bbe\u83b1\u7eb3\u65af\u5382\u524d\u7684\u201c\u7ec8\u7ed3\u83b1\u7eb3\u65af\u201d\u8fd0\u52a8\u4e2d\u88ab\u8b66\u65b9\u902e\u6355\u540e\uff0c\u5c31\u4e00\u76f4\u88ab\u6263\u62bc\u5728\u5173\u4e39\u8b66\u533a\u603b\u90e8\u3002<\/p>\n
