I know many of you are home on the eve of the Lunar New Year. Let us put in a little bit of effort to contribute to this country in this moment of celebration. Go to the post office in your hometown and get yourself registered as a voter. Your hometown needs you. I will be in my hometown this year. Will be waiting for you at the Bentong post office from 9:30am to 3:30pm, 27 Jan 2017.
Let’s start off our Chinese New Year with a sense of value. – Wong Tack.

As a Home Minister, Zahid Hamidi should …

As a Home Minister, Zahid Hamidi should have displayed more wisdom and responsibility. Bullying and avoidance are not the ways to resolve issues.

What kind of deal has the BN government done with Lynas to the extent that our Home Minister expressed so much fear at the mere mentioned of Lynas?

And what does Zahid mean when he said that the issue of Lynas is already OVER and that it is ‘IRRELEVANT’?

How could it be irrelevant when the people of Kuantan, due to the worst ever floods in the history of this town, are faced with the danger of massive radioactive pollution disaster from the toxic radioactive wastes piled up in the Lynas plant in Gebeng?

And how could it be ‘OVER’ when just recently, 1.2 million people have put their signatures behind the campaign calling for the immediate shut down of the Lynas plant? Not to mention, only a week ago, serious demonstrations against Lynas were carried out by citizens from both Australia and Malaysia at the Lynas HQ and AGM in Sydney. Senator Lee Rhiannon and NSW MP Jamie Parker from the Greens Party Australia have also came forward and expressed their serious concern on this issue. After listening to both of them and looking at how Zahid had snapped at the reporters, I can only say “Oh my GOD!”.

Zahid must understand that ‘OVER’ means Lynas is Out of Malaysia. It’ll be ‘OVER’ once Lynas is SHUT DOWN!
