Was in Pelangai last Sunday with my organic farming ‘sifu’ Mr. Shum to conduct training in microbe cultivation.

This small community farm project is funded by the All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia for Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG), of which I am a member.

Extremely glad to see so much enthusiasm and eagerness to learn from the participants.

I hope more of such program can be implemented.

There are an abundance of abandoned and idle lands lying around all over Bentong.

The government should assist the people to make use of these lands to produce healthy and wholesome foods for themselves, their families and communities. It could even be a good source of income if done well.

This would be a more sustainable program as compared to the handing out of bakul makanan.
