A few weeks ago, I visited the Siloam House in Karak, Bentong, Pahang. Mdm. Lim Saw Gaik, who oversees the operations of the house showed me around and explained to me their noble work. She has dedicated many years of her life to providing these special individuals with intellectual disabilities a home and achieve their vision of working as one family, towards becoming self-supportive and independent of charity as far as possible.

They currently run a two acres farm planted with fruit trees and vegetables. Unfortunately, they lack farming skills, know-how and manpower. We have offered to help. We will organize a monthly volunteer program to help turn it into a more productive and self sufficient organic farm.

My friend Dato Sam and his circle of kind hearted people had came forward and managed to raise RM15,000 within three hours for this program.

We will launch this program tomorrow, Sunday, 4th February 2018 at 10am at Siloam House, 3415 Jalan Kg Paya Pelantar, Karak, 28600 Pahang.

We call upon all to join us tomorrow and every first Sunday of every month thereafter. Just a few hours of your time once a month and you can make a positive difference in a person’s life. Please call 014-2105928 for more information/ to register.

When there’s love, everything is possible.
