Come to parliament at 11am tomorrow, 25th Mac (Wed) to support the Portuguese community from Malacca.
A massive sea reclamation project just next to a UNESCO recognised Portuguese Settlement will not only adversely impact the marine eco system but takes away the livelihood, robs the right to live and ultimately uproot the last bastion of Portuguese heritage in Malaysia.
No one should standby to witness such an unforgivable action of destroying a centuries old national heritage out of greed and selfishness.
This is not just a Portuguese community issue nor just a Malacca issue. This is a national and international concern because we are talking about a UNESCO site.
Let us all stand in solidarity to protect our national heritage. Join me and the Portuguese community to voice our concerns at Parliament tomorrow.
