Four cyclists from the anti-Lynas activist group Himpunan Hijau will pedal 2,800km across Malaysia in a campaign calling for the closure of the Lynas rare earths plant in Pahang.
George Fong, Leong Kin Aw, Jimmy Wong and Ow Ka Jun will begin their 39-day “Shut down Lynas: long green ride” from Dataran Merdeka on May 15, ending outside the plant in Gebeng, Kuantan, on June 22.

Green comrades,
We are now one month into this campaign. More than 7,000 Green Leaders have courageously came forward. Some have completed their tasks and achieved their goals of 100 signatures. Some even way beyond. But a few may not got into action yet.
We have failed in our first attempt to achieve our target of one million signatures on the 24th Aug. We failed again on national day. However, no one should feel disappointed. 600,000 signatures collected within a month is itself an extraordinary achievement. All of you who have contributed to this campaign should feel proud of yourselves.
We must intensify our effort and accomplish our mission in the shortest time possible. We need you to come forward again as a Green Leader and kick-off another round of signatures collection. Victory will be with the people.

全体绿色领军者，
自「百万签名埋葬莱纳斯运动」启动一个月以来，很庆幸地，已经超过7000个绿色领军者勇敢站在前线，有的领军者已经成功征集到100个签名，有的领军者甚至超越原定目标，有的领军者则尚未行动。
遗憾的是，在第一轮行动中，我们无法在8月24日达成目标；到了8月31日，我们再次无法与成功并肩同行！但，我们找不到失望的理由，皆因在短短的一个月内成功征集到60万个签名，这绝对是个非凡的成就，大家应以此为荣！
无论如何，我们必须加倍努力，并且在最短的时间内达成目标。我们需要绿色领军者再次站到前线，进行第二轮的签名活动，因为我们深信，胜利最终是属于人民的！
